About Our Hypnosis Downloads and CDs

HypnoDude.co.uk can connect you to everything that you need for self hypnosis. We will connect you to hypnosis downloads, hypnosis mp3s, hypnosis CDs and information on self hypnosis and how to be successful at it. This site has ways for you to hypnotize yourself, which can save loads of money and travel time. We specialize in self hypnosis for people who are looking to cure their anger problems, work out their stress issues, lose weight, and possibly even cure a fear of flying.

Most people think that getting hypnotized means seeing a qualified hypnotist and paying for hypnosis sessions. This could be one of the reasons that hypnosis is still a burgeoning industry. People have reservations about making themselves so vulnerable in front of someone they do not know, especially when that person is responsible for helping them change their behaviours. Luckily, self hypnosis is rising in popularity. All you need to hypnotize yourself is some free time, a private quiet place, a comfortable place to sit or lie down, and a way to play audio files (a CD player, iPod or other mp3 player will work just fine), and the help of this site.

It is quite possible that Hypnosis dates all the way back the Hindus who would take people who were ill to “sleep temples” where they would be cured by suggestions given to them while they “slept.” Of course, now we know that people in a hypnotic state are not actually sleeping but in a state that is much similar. Ever since the days of the “sleep temples” hypnosis has become a tool to help people in a number of ways. People have turned to hypnosis for help losing weight, quitting smoking, relieving stress, anger management and the conquering of fears, including the fear of flying.

Hypnosis FAQs

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a clinical term, but you have most likely experienced a state of hypnosis before.  For example in Hypnosis your mind is elsewhere on a topic.  For example a day dream is often hypnosis.  You are relaxed and open to things around you, but you may not be focused on one topic.

How many sessions will it take?

The amount of hypnosis sessions will be up to you and your hypnotist.  It is also going to be based on the issue you are being hypnotised for.  A stop smoking session is usually about 90 minutes in length, and it ranges from 1 to 10 sessions.  You may need more sessions or a tape to listen to for hypnosis if you find yourself faltering.

Does hypnosis always work?

Hypnosis is not the magic answer.  You will discover that it does not always work, either because you are resistant or because something in the session is not allowing you to relax.  The right voice can lull you into a hypnotic state and keep you there while they help you deal with the problem.  The wrong voice or noise in the room could have you concentrating on the wrong aspects.  This is why more than one session may be needed, as we mentioned above, and why it may not always work.

Can you be forced into a suggestion?

Your mind will not accept a forced suggestion.  No hypnotist can make you do something your morals or beliefs will not allow you to do.  The suggestions offered in hypnosis are more on viewing certain situations.  For example consider smoking.  You may be told that smoking is unhealthy, that it creates disease, and you may be told to picture an image of lung cancer.  You may also be given the suggestion that friends, family, or even a romantic interest will not be interested in you if you smoke.  Then in the next suggestion you may be told that you want to quit and there may be reasons personal to you.

How can hypnosis help with your problems?

With hypnosis you will be more relaxed both physically and mentally.  During this time you are open to hearing suggestions on a problem you have.  Sometimes there are things you want to discuss, but can’t get them out in your normal cognizant state, whereas in hypnosis you are more comfortable sharing.  Occasionally hypnosis is more about relaxing to allow your problems to come to the forefront, rather than continuing to repress them.  By relaxing you allow your mind to explore the problems, without getting upset.  The suggestions for smoking are more about perception than fixing a problem, but it is the same principle.

Is hypnosis safe?

Above in other questions we answered the question on forced suggestions.  However, we didn’t go into is hypnosis really safe.  The answer is yes; when you choose a qualified individual for hypnosis you are perfectly safe.  These individuals must live by a code of ethics in hypnosis.  They are meant to help you with your issue, but not force you to face something you will not enjoy.  Even in hypnosis for fears you are still in control of the situation.

How do you become a hypnotist?

To become a hypnotist you do have to go through a trade school or college programme.  In the schooling you will be taught how to speak, how to offer suggestions, and how to be a therapist overall.  In fact many hypnotists have degrees in psychology to help them work better with their patients.  You can become a hypnotist with a three day programme, but that is a less legitimate option than the proper schooling.
